The FACE Network (Farmhouse and Artisan Cheese & dairy producers European network) is a European association that brings together farmhouse and artisan cheesemakers to advocate for their shared interests. What began in 2006 as an informal exchange between German and French producers has grown into a collaborative platform involving members from over 20 countries. Established officially in 2013, the network focuses on key issues such as hygiene regulations, traditional knowledge preservation, and challenges facing small-scale dairies. Through working groups on Lobbying, Hygiene, Technology, and Marketing, FACE promotes collaboration and defends the sector at both national and European levels. CAIS has been a proud member of the FACE Network for several years.
